Woburn, a history-rich city with a population near 40,000 is conveniently located at the junction of Routes 128 (I-95) and I-93, just 10 miles north of Boston. It is bordered by historic Lexington and Burlington to the west, Stoneham to the east, Reading to the north and Winchester to the south.

Woburn was settled in 1640, incorporated as a township in 1642 and as a city in 1889. It is one of the oldest and most historic communities in New England. Through the late 1800's, Woburn was most widely known for its tanneries and shoe making industries.

Today, Woburn is a vibrant community with low tax rates, thanks to a strong commercial base. North Woburn's new Regional Transportation Center provides direct MBTA bus and train service to and from downtown Boston with Logan Express service to Logan Airport. A host of hotels, restaurants, shopping centers and entertainment all combine to make Woburn a most convenient locale.
